Bandhavgarh in Madhya Pradesh is famous for the national park, which is a declared tiger reserve from 1993. It is one of the most popular national parks in India located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh was declared a national park in 1968, with an area of 105 square kilometres. The buffer is spread over the forest divisions of Umaria and Katni and totals 437 square kilometers. The park derives its name from the most prominent hillock of the area, which was said to be given by Hindu Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana to keep a watch on Lanka (Ceylon). Hence the name Bandhavgarh (Sanskrit: Brother's Fort).

This park has a large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of leopards, and various species of deer. It is the home of white tigers, a lush green paradise and is a definite sight to cherish. Here one can see a unique diversity in flora and fauna and various attractive species of mammals and birds.

Kanha Tiger Reserve, also called Kanha National Park, is one of the best kept tiger reserves in India and the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh.

In the 1930s, the present-day Kanha was divided into two sanctuaries, Hallon and Banjar, of 250 and 300 square kilometres respectively. Kanha National Park was created on June 1, 1955 and in 1973 was made the Kanha Tiger Reserve. Kanha Tiger Reserve was ranked in the top 10 Famous Places for Tourists.

The park has a significant population of the Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, the sloth bear, Barasingha and the Indian wild dog.

Our tour starts in the morning post breakfast towards Kanha National Park in Jeep safari. Jeep safaris are the best way to observe wildlife in the thick and lush green forest. Sighting wild animals in Kanha is exciting as you stand the best chances of seeing gaur, wild dog (Cuon alpines) or dhole. Kanha is rich in bird life and the tally of species is close to 300. The commonly seen birds are the Indian roller, racket-tailed drogue, red and yellow wattled lapwing, green bee-eater, different doves (5 species), gray horn bill, tree pie, myna, munia, bush chat, warbler, flycatcher, babbler and woodpecker.

Kaziranga is a national park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India. A World Heritage Site, the park hosts two-thirds of the world's great one-horned rhinoceroses. According to the latest census held in March, 2015, the current Rhino population in Kaziranga National Park is 2401 as published by the Forest Department under Govt. of Assam, an operation conducted by the department officials in association with some recognized wildlife NGOs. Kaziranga boasts the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand and was named after Jim Corbett who played a key role in its establishment. The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative.

The park has sub-Himalayan belt geographical and ecological characteristics. An ecotourism destination, it contains 488 different species of plants and a diverse variety of fauna. Corbett has been a haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers for a long time. Tourism activity is only allowed in selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its splendid landscape and the diverse wildlife. Panna National Park is a national park located in Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh in India. It has an area of 542.67 square kilometres. It was declared as the twenty second Tiger reserve of India in 1994 and the fifth in Madhya Pradesh. Panna has the distinction of being awrded the Award of Excellence in 2007 as the best maintained national park of India by the Ministry of Tourism of India.

Panna National Park and wild life reserve is among one of the best kept tiger reserves in India. The park is known for Tigers and Leopards. This region has rocky landscape with mixed deciduous forests, uneven terrain, tall grass and scrubby bushes. The reserve is also the home to Wolf, Chital, Sloth Bear, Chinkara and Sambar. Tiger sightings are not very common here and to watch a wild cat in action needs a lot of patience along with luck.
